Maggie Morgan
Qualified Counsellor
I have always believed that envisioning a better future motivates you to take the steps to make it happen. But sometimes, this may seem impossible. So my goal is to help you with the challenges you face and to give you the tools you need to enable you to enhance your life and bring about positive change.
Coming for therapy whether for the first time or the time after that, is a big step, but it can be a very positive one. Attending a 50 minute counselling session where you’ll feel understood and listened to in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment, is just one step in the right direction.
My focus is on loss and grief, whether it be from the death of a loved one or the loss of a treasured item or pet. Difficult relationships including partners or family members and social situations. Workplace bullying or mentoring. Teenager concerns including suicidal ideation. The management of stress and anxiety.
As well as over 40 years experience in the advertising industry having created two agencies, I also enjoy giving back to the community, and I do this by volunteering with Griefline helping people through loss and grief. Volunteering with the Raise Foundation as a mentor to teenage students at local schools. Volunteering at Radio 2RRR and presenting a national radio program.
I offer a person centred approach and the modalities I prefer to work with are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy and Mindfulness. I am a member of the Australian Counselling Association.
To have hope, is to want an outcome that makes your life better in some way.
